We’re building something new for the city, and we can’t do it alone.
Local Area Network (CIC) is currently developing Aberdeen’s first dedicated 18+ inclusive console gaming and social hub — a safe, affordable, alcohol-free space where adults can connect, relax, and build friendships through gaming and shared interests.
Across Aberdeen, many adults experience isolation outside of working hours. This particularly affects neurodivergent individuals, shift workers, job seekers, and those who find traditional nightlife environments overwhelming or inaccessible. For many, cost, sensory overload, or a lack of structured alternatives makes it difficult to feel part of a community.
We want to change that.
Our vision is to create a welcoming space where adults can:
🎮 Take part in structured console gaming
🎲 Join tabletop sessions
🏆 Participate in organised tournaments
🤝 Meet new people in a supportive environment
🌙 Socialise without alcohol or nightlife pressure
But to make this happen, we need Aberdeen’s support.
Right now, we are working toward securing a permanent venue and building partnerships with local organisations and businesses that believe in strengthening community wellbeing and reducing social isolation.
Here’s how you can help:
✅ Tag someone who would benefit from a space like this
✅ Connect us with local businesses or sponsors
✅ Follow our page to support our journey
✅ Get in touch if you’d like to be involved
Every share, connection, and conversation brings us one step closer to creating something truly meaningful for the city.
Together, we can build a space that supports connection, inclusion, and belonging.
